How To Email Unique Codes To a ClickFunnels Contact using Zapier

Coupon Carrier is a promotional tool to help you gain email subscribers or foot traffic by delivering unique time-sensitive discounts and coupons — Connects directly to your favorite email service provider.

Using Zapier, you can connect ClickFunnels and Coupon Carrier to distribute unique codes to your contacts. In this example, we’ll send out an email with a unique code when someone completes our funnel in ClickFunnels.

Create a new Code Email configuration in Coupon Carrier and select Zapier as the trigger.

Customize the email content by adding your logo, message, and optionally add merge tags if you want to include information from ClickFunnels like the contact’s name, etc. In this case, we’ll add {{ merge_fields.name }}, which we’ll later add in Zapier to provide the name of the contact.

Select the source of your codes. If you already have a list of unique codes that you want to distribute to your subscribers, you can Import your codes to a code list. If you’re using an e-commerce platform that we support, you can choose to have your codes automatically generated. In this example, we’ll select an existing code list. We also need to save and activate this configuration so that we can use it in Zapier.

Next up, log in to your Zapier account and create a new Zap. Select ClickFunnels and the New Contact Activity trigger. Choose your funnel and the step that you want to trigger this Zap. We’ll select the thank you page in our test funnel.

Add another step and select our Coupon Carrier app and the action named “Send a Code Email”. This allows us to provide an email address (which we can get from the previous ClickFunnels step) and the Code Email configuration that we want to trigger. We can also add additional merge fields that will be available in the Code Email content. In an earlier step, we added the name tag, so we’ll add it here so that we can access the name in the email.

We’re not ready to save it and test the Zap. You can then try it by completing the funnel to the step you configured as the trigger.
